Guillermo M Leal Llaguno
Director

 Founder of  Evolución Visual,  a 3D Visualization Studio which has produced some of the best 3D media in the world.

Guillermo its an award winning digital visualization architect, he was one of the first ones in Mexico to apply 3D media in the architectural industry and has established himself as one of the most recognized names around the world in the 3D industry.

 From 1994 to 2001 worked in Monterrey Mexico creating 3D media for some of the best firms and architects in the industry.   During this time the projects included architectural renderings with different degrees of photorealism which have appeared in Magazines, Autodesk and Discreet Brochures, Software, Manuals, Posters, Newspapers, etc.

In 2001 he was invited by Screampoint´s President Hsiao Lai and Senior VP Kim O´Brian to join the company as an Associate Director.

The work at Screampoint ranged from doing a complete project starting with a 2D cad file or paper sketch to either the final animation or high quality print.   Specifically he was mostly involved in complex projects in the creation of the 3D model and making it come to life by lighting the model and creating all the necessary materials and textures.   He was a key element in creating photorealistic media.

In 2005 was hired by RM Design Studio in Chicago IL

 The tools and experience used in the creation of the 3D media are:

  -    AutoCAD,  16 Years, up to version 2006
  -    3D Studio Max, 13 Years and one Year in 3D Studio 2 DOS version up to ver. 2009
  -    3D Max Rendering Systems, Brazil, Vray. 6 years
  -    Maxscript, 1 year

  -    Photoshop,  12 Years up to version CS3
  -    Lightscape,  8 Years up to version 3.2
  -    Premier,  8 Years up to version 7
  -    Combustion 4 ,  2
  -    Insight,  5 Years
  -    Lightwave 7.5,  one Year, but not used much.
  -    Maxwell,  2 Years

Some of the most relevant accomplishments:

  • From 1995 to mid 2005 produced close to 500 renderings of different projects in México and around the world.
  • In 1996 started involvement in Beta programs (3D Studio Max Ver. 1) generating recommendations and identifying bugs for the manufacturer.  Since then he has been a part of the beta programs of:

            - 3D Studio Max ver. 1, 2, 2.5, 3, and 4
            - 3D Studio Viz ver. 1, 2, 3, and 4
            - RadioRay
            - Lightscape Ver. 3.2
            - Insight 2.21
            - Inspirer
            - Maxwell

  • In 1996 Autodesk México announced that one of his renderings was used in an Autodesk brochure (3D Studio Max Version 1).
  • In 1997 he was invited by Autodesk México as a speaker in Planet Autodesk Trade Show,  the presentation was about 3D Studio Max in the Architectural area.
  • In 1998 he was invited by Autodesk México as a speaker in Planet Autodesk Trade Show,  the presentation was about 3D Studio Viz.
  • In 1999 he was invited by Autodesk Mexico to the launch of Lightscape 3.2 in Planet Autodesk Trade Show.
  • During his relationship with Autodesk México he helped them in demonstrating their multimedia products as well as supporting some of their large clients.
  • In 1998 was awarded First Price Winner in the Lightscape worldwide image contest, in addition received an honorable mention and notable images of other renderings.
  • In March 2001 he joined Screampoint in San Francisco CA, USA as Associate Director.

  • In Nov 2003 the Spanish magazine 3D Actual did and included an interview in one of their issues, in the following 3 magazines they included tutorials on architectural rendering done by Guillermo.Scanned article in PDF 601kb
